Declutter and Simplify.
Hello friends,
It’s been a minute, but I am back! Summer came and went, and ohmahgash it’s almost Thanksgiving. Time and the whole fast moving thing, is truly wild. I took a break from the blog to focus on my family, my brand, and myself. It’s been challenging, rewarding, and overwhelming. Taking a minute to turn inward is harder for me than being on the go. My go to, is juggling a million things, taking care of others and throwing any and everything at the wall. But, what I have recently learned, is that things don’t actually have to be so hard. I was making them difficult without realizing that I could just shift my mindset to feel better. I can change my narrative and breathe more - seriously it goes a long way. I can focus more on self care and wellness instead of giving all of my energy to others, multi-tasking, worrying and “surviving not thriving” ( a quote I admittedly say often). I can say NO to what doesn’t light me up and serve my purpose, and instead, do what feels good. Boundaries have always been hard for me. Not only do I love to be “of service”, but I want to do “all the things”. And as wonderful and fulfilling as that is at times, it’s hard to maintain. Most days I feel like an octopus - juggling kids, clients, brands, social media, acting jobs, mental health, a household, a marriage and everything else it takes to be a live human person. It can be A LOT. After the kids started school this Fall, I realized I needed to simplify. I know I am a badass and a super mom-trepreneur, but I am also human, and need to take care of myself.
As a role model to my kiddos and as someone who works in the wellness space, I want to look and feel my best. I preach about a healthy lifestyle, and work hard to maintain one, but with so many things pulling me in different directions it can feel overwhelming to set myself up for success every day. I eat healthy and exercise daily, I fortunately love both of those things, but I want higher quality sleep, more youthful luminous looking skin, a healthier biome, less fatigue, sharper memory, focus and, and… the list goes on. I am always open to trying new supplements and vitamins to optimize my health. However; I also feel overwhelmed by the options, leaving me wondering — What's helping? What’s not? How much is all of this costing? Is my body really getting and absorbing everything it needs? Oh and the classic: HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO REMEMBER TO TAKE THIS WHEN I AM DOING 50 things!? This is when I discovered Broc Shot.
Broc shot is a one stop “shot” (see what I did there) for all of your beauty and wellness needs. Powered by sulforaphane from broccoli spouts, Broc Shot is full of the most powerful antioxidant on this planet —proven to activate over 200 genes in the body. Anti aging, anti inflammatory and detoxifying, Broc Shot addresses the three key pillars of wellness: inflammation, detoxication and gut health. Broc shot is easy to take and covers all of my beauty and wellness needs. Every day I open my fridge; Push, shake and shot. AND THAT IS IT. I have cleaner energy, more focus, better memory, glowing skin, and a verrrrry healthy gut ( I’ll leave it at that… but lemme say my body is happy with how it’s moving out all the bad stuff).
I don’t have time for fuss, and Broc shot has helped me keep up with my littles and have more energy to be present with them, even on the busiest days. My next tasks are to clean out the clutter and unwanted items in my house—aka Marie Kondo it up. Say NO to things that don’t light me up. Work less. Play more. Snuggle harder. Stop worrying. Love up my man and kiddos, and go on adventures with my family—oh and celebrate the holidays. Basically, I just want to be the best healthiest (inside and outside) version of myself. And to me, that means ( no, not just balance.. but), love and acceptance and slowing down. I wish this and more for you, my friends. Because let me say…. You have one SHOT at a healthy intelligent beautiful life, so go get em tiger, you got this. Douse yourself with love and well-being, cause it feeling fucking good to feel good.
Now go #beyourbestself
Xoxo, Amy

Broccoli Smash
INGREDIENTS:
• 1 head of broccoli
• 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
• 1 tablespoon of Braggs Nutritional Yeast Flakes
• Maldon salt
• Lemon to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
In the spirit of broccoli… this is a versatile broccoli recipe I absolutely love… and love to sneak into my kiddos food. It started as a kitchen fail, turning into a kitchen win.
Oversteam broccoli until soft. Put into mixing bowl and smash with a fork.
Add one tablespoon of Nutritional Yeast and olive oil and mix.
Add salt and lemon (if desired) to taste and mix again.
Eat as a side or add to your favorite dish. I love adding to pasta with ghee, garlic & basil or sneaking in some meat balls.
